A Year in Review: 2020

2020 was a rollercoaster this year. With me starting the year exploring the southern parts of Japan, to ending the year feeling burnt-out at home. And yes, COVID happened. But COVID didn’t stop me from trying to enjoy the best of it.

Here’s some of my highlights of this year.

January

Starting New Years in Tokyo with a goal to take the train slowly to Hiroshima. Some photos I will upload here. Overall the trip was… uh… a lot of fighting. Yet, however much we fought and hated each other, it always worked out in the end.

Happy year of the rat~ 🐭

February

It was a pretty eventful month of food. (haha…) And bringing my cats back home.

March

Tried out Verve Coffee for the first time. I really liked it! Although, I still think Blue Bottle is my favorite.

April

Stayed at home mainly. Got into the original Yugioh manga. Why does Dark Magician look like he’s always running late to a meeting?

May

First time picking cherries. They were crunchy, delicious, and fresh.

I also tried making Dalgona coffee.

June

Happy birthday to me, hehe.

July

Went out to view Comet NEOWISE.

August

Pretty uneventful from what I recall. I might have been watching 三生三世十里桃花…

September

Purchased a new car~~~

October

Birthday celebration of my good friend. I also ate a lot of hot pot. 😋

And on Halloween, I visited Santa Cruz. No pictures to upload since they aren’t the best I took.

November

Did a wine tasting.

Drove to visit my friend in Washington. Delicious Thanksgiving dinner at their place.

December

Reached the end of the year already…

I did a lot of cooking this month. Baked some bread. Visited my friend’s house for a Christmas dinner. The last dinner of the year was homemade hot pot.

Overall, a good year, but it also was one of my least productive ones. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing? I’m looking forward to my growth in 2021.
